Our approach

Mental wellbeing skills for everyday life

Bright Fox builds mental wellbeing skills using science-backed psychological tools that support focus, emotional regulation, and resilience in everyday life.

We don’t diagnose or apply labels.

We teach practical mental wellbeing skills — informed by evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness — and designed to be learned, practiced, and strengthened over time.

These skills support young people to:

  • Navigate pressure with greater calm
  • Maintain focus in demanding environments
  • Respond to mistakes with flexibility rather than self-criticism
  • Recover from setbacks and move forward with confidence

These are essential life skills — yet they’re rarely taught explicitly.

Bright Fox was created to change that.

What makes our approach different

We teach skills, not labels

We don't diagnose. We don't pathologize. We focus on what young people can learn and practice—not what's "wrong" with them.

We're structured, not open-ended

Our 10-week programme is time-limited by design. Young people learn faster with a clear plan and a finish line.

Evidence-informed

Our approach draws on psychology, neuroscience, and mental skills research - Bright Fox is delivered by professionally trained Mental Wellbeing Coaches, each holding a MSc-level qualification in psychology.

We're developmentally attuned

We adapt language, tools, and expectations to match each young person's age and stage—so coaching always feels relevant, not generic.

We work with parents

Skills are strongest when they're reinforced at home. We guide parents clearly and practically—without jargon or overwhelming detail.

What we focus on

Every young person’s programme is tailored, but common areas of focus include:

Managing big emotions
Learning to calm down when feelings become overwhelming

Reducing anxiety and overthinking
Tools to interrupt worry spirals and regain control

Building confidence
Coping with mistakes, self-doubt, and fear of judgment

Improving focus and follow-through
Strengthening attention, planning, and task completion

Handling pressure
Managing expectations from school, family, and social life

Developing resilience
Bouncing back faster when things don’t go to plan
