Age 11-14

Mental wellbeing coaching for early adolescents

Early adolescence is a time of big changes – emotionally, socially, and academically.

Many young people aged 11–14 feel overwhelmed, easily frustrated, or unsure how to manage their feelings. They’re capable, but they’re still learning how to cope.

Bright Fox helps them build the mental skills they need – before challenges become more entrenched.

How coaching works

Bright Fox follows a clear 10-week structure, adapted for this age group:

Week 1:

Getting to know your young person -
their strengths, struggles, and goals

Weeks 2-9: Weekly mental wellbeing coaching

Each session focuses on one skill and includes:

Week 10: Review and next steps

We review progress and plan how skills can continue to be used. Sessions are delivered online - in a calm, familiar environment that helps young people feel comfortable and open.

Working with parents

For this age group, parents play an important role.

We keep parent involvement clear, practical, and supportive – providing guidance to help reinforce skills at home, without jargon or unnecessary complexity.
